TTC After a Loss

I have a bra question??

So I lost some weight which included 4" around my chest...not in bewbsize just in like bra band size. I used to wear 38DD and they felt too big so I bought myself a 36DD and now it looks like my Bewbs are going to bust out! Is there really that much difference in the actual cup between band sizes? Shouldn't the cup be the same as the bigger size band?? Did I get a freak one or am I just weird?  lol  assitance please!!!

Re: I have a bra question??

  • I have no idea... but, perhaps getting fitted for a bra might be a good idea...

I also have DD's and struggle finding the right size and when I do - it seems like the sizing changes between brands.

  • I second the fitting.  And congratulations on the weight loss!
  • Aren't big boobies the worst? :::shakes DDDs in direction of post:::

I have to get fitted when I go for new bras, they vary so much. And I wear a minimizer, which screws everything all up as well.

I would maybe try a different brand or style, in either size, and def. get fitted before hand.

  • I've lost 31 lbs and yet my cup size has gotten bigger and I'm now in an H.  I really don't get it, I'm not proportioned at all.
  • First - awesome on the weight loss!!! Me and my B cup boobs cannot relate to your struggle.

But - I really think you should do that bra fitting thing. From what I've heard that much weight loss can really alter what you should wear.

  • I've been told that if you go down a band size, you need to go up in cup size.  And just as an aside for all you big boobied ladies who have a hard time finding bras, I love this website for buying my bras and swimsuits: www.figleaves.com

They've got every size, I swear!!!

  • General rule of thumb is when you go down in band size to get the equivalent cup size you need to go up.  So 36DDD = 38DD.  But, go get fitted to make sure.

    Congrats on the weight loss!

    This!

  • Try a 38D. 36DD and 38D are very similar, but it might give you a little bit more room. I'm usually a 34DD, but I had to go up to a 36DD cause the cups were getting too tight. Brand can also make a huge difference. One brands 36DD could be another brand's 34D. Its crazy! I would try different sizes in different brands and see if you can find one that works for you. GL:)
