My son will be just about 2 when my twins are born. I've flown with my son at least once every 6 weeks since he's been born (often alone) but the twins really change things, obviously. I'm wondering if flying with 3 kids (a 2 year old and infant twins) can be done with 2 parents. Anyone live to tell about it?
Re: Yet another flying question- for the twins and toddler crowd
My twins are 5! My baby is 3!
DS#2 - Allergic to Cashew, Pistachio, Kiwi
DS#3 - Allergic to Milk, Egg, Peanut, Tree Nuts and Sesame
Well, I haven't done it w/ 3. But I have flown alone w/ my DS. Even THAT was a challenge.
I would say it's definitely possible, will the twins be getting their own seats? Or will they sit in your lap? Obviously seat logistics will be an issue, especially depending on the airline/size of your airplane and you all getting seats together. Though you'd certainly qualify to pre-board, so just make sure to make good friends w/ a flight attendant!!!
Do your babies take paci's/bottles well? I know they say to BF, bottle feed or use a paci at take off and landing to help pop their ears. But I think tandem nursing would be a super hard struggle on a plane, so your DH will need to give one of them a bottle if you nurse the other.
Then the only other struggle will be getting all your gear through the airport
. That seems to be the biggest challenge for me, even w/ just 1 kid to worry about.
Sorry, I'm not too much help, since I've never flown w/ the 3 of them. But those are the issues that come to mind.
And...just saw your twins aren't born yet, LOL! Well, same issues to think about I guess! LOL!
Good luck!
