We have them and they do work for us! They have saved us countless messes and definitely saved our walls a few times too, haha!
They do fall off if you don't position them correctly. However, if you put them on the right way, I've found they stay on and are very absorbent. Sometimes I go to take it off and it's soaked and I didn't even know he was peeing while I was changing him!
They were a gift. That being said, I'm sure a washcloth would work just as well!
We use a washcloth as well, but I cut it into strips so I have 3 pee covers per washcloth. That is really all the coverage we need and makes for less laundry!

I have some, like the pp said, they're too small and they fall off. I have a bunch of IKEA baby washcloths and they work well. They're all cotton and actually absorb all of the pee if he starts going. They absorb the liquipoo too if a wrap it between his legs.

I honestly don't think you need anything special at all to protect from the pee. If his diaper is just wet, I position the new diaper under the old one and then lift the old diaper from back to front so that he stays covered at all times. If he is poopy, I just throw a wipe over him while I'm wiping him up.
Re: Does anyone use those pee pee tee pee's?
They're a cute shower gift...but that's about it.
No, they don't work. They're too small and always fall off. A washcloth works much better.
