I've been thinking about buying one of these. I've read the reviews online, and it got 4.5 stars. Is it easy to use? How is the video quality? Also, I'm not technologically savvy at all, so can you easily upload the video to Youtube? Can you upload just a small clip of the video? Can you upload the videos to your computer, and then burn them to a DVD? Thanks.

I have a flip and LOVE it. I just uploaded videos to my blog if you want to check them out.
Also, it's sooooooo easy to load you tube and to blogger.

I love my flip though.
I haven't edited them, but the program has a feature for that.

I bought a pocket video camera for my Sister for Christmas.
All of my research pointed to the new Kodak model. It is suppose to have better image stabilzation and sound.
I love my flip & use it to edit to short clips, paste together & send short movies as an email (they have an email program where they send a link to your recipients vs having to send as an attachment) vs publishing on a public site or blog but it looks super easy to do that too. But I will say its editing capabilities are really not good so you'd need another program. I ahve a mac & can import them from flip to imovie for when I really want to do more editing, effects, etc.
The basic editing it comes with is: shortening clips, adding music (just one song and you can either have the whole video set to the one song or have a song overlay with your original sound from the video at the same time) and putting a title at the beginning and 'credits' at the end. I'm pretty sure that is all you can do. When you paste multiple clips into a movie, they fade in & out.
The only other major drawback is the length of time it takes to make the movie & then edit it. you paste everything together & then click 'make movie' and it has to process it. I have never made one longer than 3 minutes or so I don't think and the longer ones have taken about 15 minutes to "create".
