photographer recommendations

We would like to get some family pics/ Sawyer's 1 year pics taken soon. To date, we've only used JCP (and taken thousands of our own!) We would really like to keep the cost down, but would like to get some professional pics done. I would appreciate suggestions of area photographers. If you have recommendations of photographers that give you the pics on cd or let you buy the rights to the pics, even better.
BTW, we live in Denton, but could travel a bit.

Kandice Ray and Jacqueline Reitz are both in your area and they give you digital copies of the images to make your own prints. I've worked with them both on different occasions (they shoot weddings together and are friends) and I've always been happy with their work. They also have specials and mini sessions from time to time, so check out their blogs on their sites to see what they have going currently.

We took the boys to Picture People in Stonebriar Mall for their 1 year pics. They turned out so cute!! The great thing is that if Sawyer is in a bad mood or something, you aren't charged a sitting fee for the session. Basically you're just out the time. We used Jessica.

One of my good friends, Christy Carpenter, is a part-time photographer. She's a school teacher who works on the weekends taking photos at wedding, etc.

She lives in Mansfield but I'm sure she would be willing to travel where ever you would like. And she is very reasonably priced.
