Do booster seats expire like infant car seats and covertible seats do?
My 4.5 yo is ready to move into a booster seat. We have one that was used by my stepdaughter about 6 years ago (never been in an accident), but I am thinking it is too old. My husband doesn't think so.
Any thoughts?
Re: Go4Hockey - question re: booster seat for you
yes, they do. But some booster seats have longer expiration times.
There should be a date stamped onto it. If you have a hard time finding it, let me know what kind of seat it is, and I'll tell you where it should be.
I found a sticker that said it was manufactured in 2000, so I am assuming it is too old (it is a Century).
What makes booster seats (and all car seats) expire, especially if they haven't been heavily used or in a car accident.
TIA
Ditto. I put my 4.5yr old in the Graco Nautilus a couple months ago.
