I scrap book and do crafty stuff for DD but (when I have it) I spend the most money on Tanning!!! I'm addicted and they know how to sucker me in with their specials and give a ways.
What do you spend the most money on for something you enjoy?
I'm a shoe whore, so I spend most money on shoes, but that doesn't really count as a hobby.
I definitely spend a ton of money on scrapbooking. In fact, I just went to Michael's about an hour ago, and spent $57 on scrapbooking stickers.
oh yes, I'm a shoe whore too...for sure! I'm sad actually because i swear I gained my preg. weight in my feet because all of my (and I mean, I have a ton) sexy/cute/comfy heals do not fit!

A lot of my shoes don't fit anymore either. I'm hoping that it's just a phase, and that they'll fit again soon.
TTC for 19 months. Dx: PCOS. 3 IUI's with Clomid= BFN 1st IUI with injectables= BFP
I don't really have a hobby but I guess you can say DS is my hobby because I spend loads and loads of money on him especially pictures!
I spend a TON of money on developing pictures. It's bad. If I take a picture that I absolutely love, I usually end up developing 7 copies of it (one for picture album, one for scrapbook, one for work, one for the little picture album I carry in my purse, 1 for my parents, and 1 for each set of grandparents). I'd hate to see how much money Snapfish has received from me the past 4 months.

i guess athletics. i buy new running shoes every 3-4 months at $120 each, plus new trail shoes for another $120...every race is about $100 (plus travel expenses). and my bike was over 1k, and I use a trainer on/off who is about $50 week. and then workout clothing, of course and all the gadgets (garmin, hr monitor, etc)

I'd have to say photography.. between my DSLR, extra lenses, and all the photobooks I make, that's probably it.
I guess working out comes in a close second if you count our treadmill and my running shoes and clothes? + weights if I count the set DH bought and I use And occasional gym membership when I'm not getting paged every 10 minutes to come pick up my screaming DD1... :::sigh::: one day, I will go back!

It was race cars until I had to get rid of mine. I don't think I had one factory part left on that car. I'm guessing the overall price of the mods was around 40k. I'm sure I will build another one when DD is older.
Now I am trying to get into DH's hobby.... photography. We've spent a good penny on all the equipment -- Canon 5D (backup 10D), lenses, lighting equipment, retouching programs, props, etc.... I'm still looking for a hobby I can call my own but I don't have much time right now.
Photography, by far. It has morphed into a business, but it used to be a hobby, so I guess that counts. I've spent at least 10 grand on equipment and am about to drop another 4 grand on a 27 inch iMac for photo editing. My DH jokes all the time that he never should have let me get my first DSLR
Photography, although I don't spend a whole lot on that. I've decided that if I'm going to buy something, I have to sell something, so while I've spent some money on photog stuff, our bank acct isn't really affected.
Well, my biggest hobby before getting pregnant was running and that wasn't expensive. Since the baby was born, I have really gotten into photography and that has been rather expensive since I've bought a DSLR camera, external flash and extra lens. I do, however, use them ALL the time so I think I got my money's worth. Plus, my pictures of my LO are so much better and you can't put a price on that
Scrapbooking defiantly. Just getting all my prints cost a ton. I love to take photos of my boy! Wish I would get back on the ball of actually working on his books.

yup, this is my hobby too.
Does counting spending a ton at the grocery store count??

Genealogy and ballroom dancing.
Genealogy costs a lot in regards to traveling, getting records, getting copies of photos, etc.
Ballroom dancing costs a lot in regards to private lessons, going to functions where you can dance, outfits (if you compete), and competitions.
Me too. Plus an additional $200 lens.
My only hobby is crocheting. But it's not really expensive.
