WTF is wrong with my child? Everything is leading to a meltdown. She's not tired so I don't know what the deal is. I see the need to put myself in time out soon ...
same here only its not meltdown kind of crying....its just the whimpering whining thing....I'm trying so damn hard to be patient because I know she's not feeling all that good. See my post below.

My DD has been like this for 2 weeks. She's been absolutley miserable to be around, I can't do anything right, everything ends in tears. I had to walk away from her this morning because I though I might lose it and give her a spank.
Hotdish, sometimes that really is best. It's hard not react when you're tired and at the end of your rope and they are whining/crying like that. I have to stop, breathe and remove myself --- I've spanked as a reflex reaction from frustration and it's just not right and made me feel horrible.

I lost it once and hit her, I promised myself right then and there that I would never do it again because it made me feel horrible. It really just made things escalate and made both of us even more upset.

It happens, hon. We learn and move on. The good thing is, they still love us. ;-)
