Used Moby?!

Hello Ladies!!! I was just curious is any of you had a Moby Wrap that you were willing to part with? For trade (I don't have any clue what I have that you might want or need) or for a nominal fee. If so please email me at--

bbridges1002@yahoo.com

TIA!

Re: Used Moby?!

  • I am not selling mine yet, but have you tried checking out the Target clearance areas in the baby section? I got my moby there for $15 brand new.

  • I'm lending mine to my sister with a new baby, but really, they're not that expensive. You can find them on eBay and craigs list etc (mostly new) for $30 or less. Seems a lot easier than trying to set up a trade of some sort for something that's relatively cheap, kwim?

Relatively cheap to you= extra money I don't have to spend. Why even bother to comment if you are just going to be rude, and insult someone for being broke?

I didn't get the sense that she was trying to be rude... =/

Anyway, another idea...you can very easily make them on your own.  Google homemade moby wrap and there are directions.  All it will cost you is the material, which is super cheap.

I didnt insult you and I wasnt rude. You didnt say "Hey, I have NO extra money at all and can't afford to spend anything on a moby. Wanna trade?"  That would have painted a much clearer picture. But you didnt. And so, I gave you an opinion based on the fact that MOST people DO have $30, or could save that much in a relatively short amount of time, and it would be easier for MOST people to do that than to try to set up some sort of barter. Another option is to buy several yards of fabric and make one, or to see if there is any fabric at places like goodwill or salvation army. I realize you're saying you're broke, but if $5 is going to break you, then you couldnt even afford shipping for a trade. And if you think that's rude, then so be it.

I did feel that way, but it doesn't matter--- What kind of material do you recommend, I couldn't find the material that is semi-stretchy...makes me wonder if it even exists- lol

jersey or fleece, I actually made one with an old bedsheet, but I would like to do a stretchier one next time. Ask the person working the fabric counter.

I do feel insulted, because I  understand that for most people $30 is a small amount of money, but for me it's not. Sorry I didn't state openly my financial status. - I do have some money alloted to spend on a wrap- I just thought I would give bartering a try- seeing as it's a win win situation for two people not just one.

I am sorry for coming across so harsh in response. I am having a tough week, not that it is your fault, therefore I should have just kept my mouth shut.

  • Jersey is a good material to use.  Most fabric stores should sell that, and if they don't, you can totally buy a jersey flat bedsheet and go from there.  The edges will curl by themselves, so there is no sewing involved.

  • I went to hobby lobby and searched the clearance and found a neon orange piece of jersey knit, it was marked down to $3.50 a yard and when the girl cut it she found a hole in the middle so she knocked it down to $2 a yard! You cant beat that price, it is really horrendous in color though so I wont wear it out of the house but I spent $10 and got two wraps out of it!
