New Jersey Babies

Babymoon Idea

Hi all,

This is my first foray here so I apologize for any duplications.  My husband and I are trying to figure out our babymoon.  We have to go end of February.  We are not beach people so if we go somewhere like a beach there has to more than laying out to do.  Does anyone know of any places to go or good deals for end of Feb?

Thanks!

Jennifer

Re: Babymoon Idea

  • We love staying in private cottages or cabins for  a weekend in the Poconos or Catskills. Check out CyberRentals.com you can find some cute little places on there for a good price.
  • Loading the player...
  • There are many caribbean islands that give you beach and warm weather, but also have a lot in the way of activities. My husband and I went to Barbados and while we spent a little time on the beach, we also did hiking, went to museums, to a wild life preserve, checked out some restored plantation houses, snorkeled with sea turtles, went to musical shows at night, and they have an awesome restaurant scene.
  • We had gone to Miami in April of last year. This way we could do the beach and pool but there was a lot of other activities going on like art galleries/museums, nice restaurants, shopping, etc.

  • Ok, this is kind of cheesie but it is fun.  Caesars in the Poconos.  They are having great deals at Cove Haven right now.  It is all inclusive except for alcohol...which you can't have anyway.  You can go dancing, swimming, comedy shows, horse back riding and more.  Plus the Casino in Mount Airy is not far away.
  • we've been to several places and Mexico is always a fun (and relatively inexpensive) option.  Also, the Dominican Republic is also another option.

If not, have you thought about Florida? maybe something like Key West?

I believe www.travelandleisure.com (and possibly even this site) have some great babymoon options that you might want to check out :)

  • We're planning on going to the Minerals Resort and Spa up in North Jersey.  That way, I can be treated to a nice prenatal massage, do a little swimming (heated pool) and hubby can do some golfing.  They have great babymoon packages you can look into.  A little pricy for staying in Jersey, but we didn't want to get on a plane for our babymoon.
