Can someone please recommend some great baby furniture places in NJ? I like Pottery barn-style furniture. I live on Staten Island. I heard of one in Hoboken-bambi baby.I am 5 months pregnant and would like to order the furniture soon.
I am looking at a Munire set from a place in Paramus. El Bambi in Hoboken is very very small store...no cribs on display. The main store is in West New York...the area stinks but they do have really nice stuff.
We went to Lakeland Baby Furniture in Wayne (on the service road parallel to Rt 23). We have been so happy with our experience so far! The owners, Doreen & Ed could not be more helpful or more personable! We ended up ordering our furniture, stroller, car seat & base, mattress and a few odds and ends from them. I wish I could have registered with them for more. Their communication has been great too- lately I've called to find out the ETA of our furniture and stroller since both are scheduled to come in soon. They have everything organized and can tell you info immediately. Also, all of the furniture companies that they carry in the store are excellent quality and all have A ratings in Baby Bargains. We dealt mainly with Ed while we were looking at furniture, and there was zero pressure from him.
The one thing I will say, which the friend who referred us mentioned is that their sign is so old and faded. While that may seem insignificant, if you didn't know the store, you may pull up and think "hmmmm" and consider not going in. Look past the stupid sign and walk in- you will not be disappointed with selection, product knowledge, service or prices.
we ordered our furniture from baby and teen gallery in elizabeth, nj. we were looking for a specific manufacturer, ( Romina.). our second runner up was munire and would have gotten it at crib and teen city in east brunswick. we narrowed down our choices by using baby bargains and then testing it out. I think it's soooo important to see the furniture in person.
