Friends of ours recently adopted a little girl and we would love to get the baby and or parents something. The little one is a year and a half. Any suggestions would be wonderful.
Books...you really can never have enough! Search for adoption related books for children on amazon and you will find several cute book. I like the Marianne Richmond book a lot.
We got a teether type book (Baby Einstein) that you can put photos in and DD seems to like that a lot. We flip through the pages and tell her the family members and pets names.
I also think some of the pillowcase type dresses w/ little one's initial or name are just the cutest too. You'll find TONS of options on etsy:)
I agree with one of the previous posters. Children's books about adoption are a great gift...(still looking for a good one for our daughter.) One of our favourite gifts we received at a shower was a gift certificate for family photos.

Did you check to see if they have a registry? Many adoptive parents do!
Beyond that, something that can make memories might be nice - scrapbook stuff related to adoption would be great! (IMHO)
