And for some odd reason she thought my main concern was the risk of having a baby at my age (37) as far as DS....but actually I was told to make sure I seen her right away with my next pregnancy because of the loss of my twins....SO when she walked in with the pics and started to discuss "my concerns" I was thrown for a loop and then she proceeded to tell me I need to get amnio or another test...But I dont want it....
Has anyone else opted not to get a amnio?

Did she specify WHY she thought the amnio was needed? Perhaps they can effectively rule out issues like down syndrome, etc. through an integrated NT test, and only do an amnio if something shows abnormal on that test?
We did an amnio after we found out our baby had Spina Bifida to rule out additional chromosome issues which would have further complicated matters. You have to balance the benefits of extra info against the potential risks...if there is reason to think something is going on, and the test would allow for you to be prepared with knowledge or treatment, or if you would plan to terminate with certain results, it might be worth it. For us it was worth it to know if there was a chromosome issue...that would have meant (coupled with the SB) our baby would very likely not live, and for my health we would have terminated the pregnancy before I had to have a c-section resulting in another stillbirth. Ruling chromosome issues out was a blessing.
