So, two days ago I get the most painful hemorrhoid. I can't sit, lay down or get comfortable at all, no matter what I tried. Last night I finally ended up having to go to the E.R. in hopes that they could treat this monster hemorrhoid. Long story short, it turns out that I had a prolapsed vein and that was what was causing so much pain. The doctor had to strap me face down, @ss up on a bed and tape my butt cheeks open. Then he gave me a local anesthesia and cut and drained the vein before stitching me up (yes, I have stitches in my rear end) and prescribed me Percoset
Hubby and I have been joking that this LO is going to be a tough one because of how difficult this pregnancy has been. So imagine my reaction when I stand up from the surgical table and see my LO's name all over the medical supplies!!! We are going to name LO 'Kendall' and that is the name of the medical company that provided all the supplies for my minor surgery. It's an omen! LOL
On another note, now I'm not so eager for baby to get here in the next few days. I really hope she waits until I heal before she makes her appearance!
Re: Betcha Can't Top This One! (Totally TMI)
LOL...it had to be one hell of a sight. It was a regular hospital bed, so I had to literally stick my butt in the air for the procedure since I couldn't rest on my belly. They tape both cheeks to the bed to keep them open - God, I was so afraid to pass gas because I was completely numb in that area and couldn't feel a thing.
This baby is gonna be a PITA for sure! I hope labor is easy, but the doctor said that most women get hemorrhoids during labor anyway, so I should only have to deal with a little extra soreness in that area - unless baby comes today or tomorrow. Then it will be painful.
WOW! You really took one for the team with that!! I feel so bad for you, but yes, laughed out loud (at work) when I read this.
