a little irritated w/ MIL comment (BFP mentioned)

i know I am being petty BUT...

DH and I got our BFP on wed night (yay!) and decided to tell our parents, but to keep it quiet otherwise. DH just told my MIL and she was like "WOO HOO" (this was also partially because DH told her FIRST -i want to tell my parents in person).

Then DH asked her to keep it quiet and she said "oh for 3-4 weeks?"

DH said "no- for prob another 8 weeks"

MIL says "OOOOHHHH because of your HISTORY..." (picture her saying this a little condescendingly)

YES MIL- Because of our HISTORY..because i have lost 2 babies. thanks..

Hey- remember after i lost the first one when you couldnt even look at me without crying and old Dh you didnt have anything to say to me beacsue you never had a mc? how about I AM SORRY!

I'd be irritated too. Sorry you have to put up with that. And you're right, what's wrong with just saying you're sorry for a loss. My MIL told me about her loss and it didn't help at all. Some people just don't get it!
