Any tips? We're in the second row. I know I need to bring ear protection -- would ear muffs work? I am not sure DS will stick foam orange thingies in his ears...
We're going to try and get tickets for "Party in the Pit" -- whatever that is!
I hate to admit it but we went a couple of weeks ago...Some people were just a hot mess...I enjoyed people watching. ?To answer your question I would recommend ear protection as it was very loud.
Is this the one on Valentine's Day at the Wachovia (or around there)? I went to that several years ago... you will need the orange things for your ears. It is VERY loud!!! OMG... but a blast!
We just went last weekend. The Party in the Pits is crazy. Get there early and be prepared to stand in line (if you want a decent photo and one with the driver). There are long lines for every truck there.
Ear protection is a must for the little ones. They do sell the bigger kind there (not sure of the price). We just took some big headphones for P and he seemed to do fine with those. I didn't use any at all (it's not as loud as drag racing).
The sell these plush pillows of GraveDigger (who is P's favorite). They are only $20.00 - so not too bad.
The introductions before the actual event take forever, so I would suggest getting up and walking around until the trucks are actually ready to come out. By the time all the introductions were over, P was already bored (plus he was sick though too, so that didn't help).
Re: well, we got tickets to Monster Jam
