City Too Big for Kids?

I have planted myself in the city with no interest in uprooting to the suburbs. What does everyone else think? Do kids belong in the suburbs?

  • I really enjoyed your blog. I would LOVE to move back to the city, but we work in the burbs so it didn't make sense to have a reverse commute.

  • We live in the city now and plan to give it a try with a baby. I'm totally for it. Our house is small, so we'll probably need to move in a couple of years...if we do move out of the city, it'd be to an inner-surburb with good walkability, downtown/shops, access to the train to commute to work, etc.

  • We have 2 and live in the city.  I love it but my H has lived in the city for 20 years so he is ready to move on to the burbs.  It has been great with kids, there is so much to do!  I am scared that I will be bored in the suburbs

  • We live in the city and I am pregnant with #2.  Although our house is on the market and we're planning to move to the suburbs, it's been great living in the city.  So much to walk to, so many activities, and there are always kids at the park!
