anyone induced with just pitocin - no cervadil

i am being induced tomorrow. this is my 3rd baby. Had my last dr. appt tonight. said i was a finger tip dialated and my cervix is thin. he said he will just induce with pitocin since i am already starting to dialate. i thought that he would do cervadil for a few hours than move onto the pit.

any experiances to share? thanks!

I was 3 cm dilated so no cervadil for me. All went well.

I was! Didnt need cervadil since I was already thinned. Started pit at 8am, she was here at 6:30pm. I went epi free until about 40 minutes before she came out, after they broke my water around 2:30 it was pretty painful. Nothing you can't handle though

I had pitocin both times but never cervadil. I was dilated to about 4cm both times and then stalled.

I was 3cm, 100% effaced. No cervadil, just pitocin. 5 hours of labor and 25 minutes of pushing!

If your already thinned then they don't do the cervadil.

I was 1cm and 50% effaced. Just pitocin. Started it at 9:30PM and and had him just after midnight. Feel free to PM me if you have questions!

I was 3 cm dilated and induced with pitocin. Didn't take a whole lot of pitocin to get things moving for me and I was able to go epi free.

I was 6cm and 100% effaced and got the pitocin at 5:00am. Water broke at 8:00am and I was dilated to 10 at 9:00am. Pushed for 2 hours and had emergency c-section. DS was not under any stress but my pelvis was too narrow to allow him to come down.

The pitocin was not awful but I got my epi before they even started the drip. I'm sure it would be different if you went natural or waited on the epi.

I was induced with just pitocin, no cervadil. Started pitocin drip at 11:30am, water broke at 5pm, DD was born at 8:20pm. No pain meds.

water broke at 8:30am, pit started at 12:00pm, epi at 5:00pm and i had her at 4:00 the next morning

Just Pitocin for me....no cervadil....went in dialated to almost 3 cm and 80% effaced....started induction at 8 am and she was born at 7:42 that evening. Had a wonderful experience with my induction.
