formula ?'s

I know you're not supposed to switch from one formula to another, but what about like walmart or target brand that says it's the same as or comparible to Similac Advance.

Is it the same? and is it ok to go from one to another and back or what? TIA

  • We've never had an issue.

  • I switched to Target and still use some Similac when I get samples and he does fine. And he was extremely sensitive about formula in the beginning.

  • If you haven't really noticed your LO has a sensitive stomach it's probably just fine.

We aren't going to use a generic kind until LO is at least 6 months old.  My ped said not to.  She said that although the same ingredients may be in them they are necessarily in the same order/amount as the name brand.  So it is best to not until they are at least 6 months.  I don't know that's just what the doc said, so are doing that.
