TMI: Cold or more?

Last Wed night I went to bed with a sore throat and felt sicker on Thursday..pretty much just a cold.  I was really congested and felt all around sick the entire weekend.  I've been feeling better the past few days except for my ears being "stuffed" and needing to constantly blow my nose.  Up until today that had been clear in color but starting today it's a really beautiful yellow/green color and pretty thick.  When I blow my nose, my ears pop.

So the question is - just a cold since overall I feel ok or should I call the doctor tomorrow because you think this is something more like a sinus infection?

    You have described me for the past 3 days (other than the mucus color). Mine is still clear.

    I would go in, just because of the colored mucus. I have always heard that yellow/green means infection.

    I had the sore throat/stuffy nose last week Monday and by Friday it had turned yellow and had clearly moved to my chest. I woke up Saturday and went to walk in where they prescribed an antibiotic. I thought I'd wait a couple more days and I got worse. I could barely talk and I couldn't breath at night. I started the antibiotics and I felt better that night.

    I was really concerened because of all the Tylenol PM I was taking to help me sleep and then I didn't want to take a really strong antibiotic either (azithromycin or a Z-Pak). I've done enough research to feel pretty confident that Tyelnol PM isn't going to do much to the baby and the Z-Pak is OK too. Considering I can now sleep at night with no sleep drugs, I know it was the right thing to do. I figure I had bacterial bronchitis (cuz I couldnt' breath and I was coughing up yellow/grey stuff)

    You may have a sinus infection that could move to your chest and eventually develop into pneumonia.....go get meds!
