Just wondering if I'm a total wacko for giving dd a vitamin supplement? She gets a multi-vit and a acidophilus supplement daily. She is healthy eater, however, favors the carb food group far too often than protein and veggie groups.
If you supplement, what do you give?
Re: Do you give vitamin supplements to your dc?
We do multivitamins. I know we could be eating better, but mainly it's to keep all the vitamins he needs in his body on a regular basis. He also gets a "greens" supplement. Here is what we buy, we get them at Sun Harvest and HEB respectively.

Oh, and he loves taking both of them, we do it as part of his nighttime routine.
He also gets a pro-biotic on occasion (when I remember) we only started doing those when I found out we were both allergic to gluten though.

I guess I should have posted what I give dd.
She gets the "immune boost multi-vit" and the "L.reuteri" supplement from Whole Foods.
Generally dd is a healthy kiddo. She gets the usual cold and just got over a mild case of a tummy bug w/ a couple of hours of diarrhea (no fever and still acting normal).
Not a wacko at all! I started vitamins for DD for the cold/flu season since we don't do flu shots in our house. I give DD a liquid multivitamin (from Whole Foods) at night and a Hyland's Vitamin C tablet in the morning. We also eat extremely healthy in our house but I wanted to boost her immune system a little more for the cold/flu season.
