I have tried to be patient with people because I know they are excited for LO. But seriously why have you been calling/texting me for over a week now? My EDD hasn't even came yet. And when I tell you that why do you insist something must be wrong since it's my second child? Maybe my body forgot it's been 7 years...lol? But seriously I'm annoyed.
My MIL has text or called everyday and I told her I would text or DH would text as soon as I go into labor, but she must have missed that conversation. Really what are you going to do when I do go into labor, you live across the country! You can't rush to the hospital and you will not be getting any news until LO is in my arms like everyone else. You have a scheduled trip for the week after.
That's just one of the many people who have been calling. Don't they realize they are just annoying the H*LL OUT OF ME! I'm sick of being pregnant and I'm axious as well. You asking me when she's coming or telling me I need to do this and that is just making me more frustrated! I stopped picking up the phone... vent over
Did these calls start for you ladies?
Re: When did the phone calls start for you? (vent)
Oh yeah...and I despise them! Mind you, I'm only 37 weeks!
I went into preterm labor at about 33 weeks, and since then, I get at least one text asking if he's here or if I'm still pregnant. I've started to ignore the calls and texts. My MIL is the same way, but she's in the area, so will be present at the hospital at least I'm sure. What in the world am I going to do the week after he's here?...lord help me!
I totally know how you feel. I had my DS at 37 wks and everyone is acting like I am already late with this one since I haven't gone early. Emails and frantic voice messages, on and on. HELLO?? I am due NEXT thursday and even then, she might be late.
It doesn't help anything....just makes me feel more anxious
I get several call/texts a day asking if the baby is here yet...I agree it just makes me more anxious. I just started my leave on Tuesday however prior to that I would get instant messages through work asking the same thing..."is the baby here yet?" I always wanted to respond with a snarky comment like "yes I am breastfeeding him right now while sitting in my office" or something. Sorry...that was a mini-vent!
