acupuncture today. what to expect? (child in sig)

I have my first acupuncture appointment tonight. What can I expect? Is it super painful? You would think with all the needles in IVF that this would be no big deal, but I'm a little nervous. Embarrassed

I don't find it painful at all. The worst is like a little prick. I love going it is so relaxing. Enjoy...

It's not painful at all. (Says the pro who has gone all of two times herself!) During my first appt we talked a little bit about why I was there, I asked any questions that I had, then he did the session.

Wear loose clothing - he had me roll up my sleeves and pant legs, and also put a few in my belly. I think I get about 12 needles or so - it didn't hurt putting them in - and they just feel like a little pressure.

I enjoyed it, and almost fell asleep both times - it's very relaxing. GL!

The only time I felt a painful little prick was when she put a couple in my ears and the side of my toe. Everything else was fine and pretty relaxing.

Well, that doesn't sound so bad. Thanks for the input ladies! I will try to relax and enjoy it.
