Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Question about utensils...boring I know

This may not matter at all, but should I buy the metal spoons with the rubber on the spoon part or plastic spoons.

We don't plan on starting solids until 6 months if that makes a difference in your answer.  I've got a few more dollars until I get free shipping on a website so I figured I'd get some things we'll need later on.

TIA

Thank you!  So if yours.  I love his hat.  Henry is on a hat rebellion which is great since it's the middle of winter. haha

  • We use both.  I usually bring the plastic take and toss in the diaper bag.

  • we have both, and DS HATES the one with the metal.  Also, if he takes the spoon to try to feed himself, I'd rather him put the plastic in his mouth then the metal.

    HTH!

  • We have both.  Some of the plastic spoons have deeper spoon bowl parts than the metal/rubber ones and DS doesn't get all the food of them.  I think that's the only difference that matters for us.

  • I hate the metal spoons. We use the evenflo discovery spoons, they are a flat plastic spoon, they were so much easier to feed ds with and they are a toddler spoon so ds uses them now to try and feed himself
