:::Tarahville bends over::: No wonder we're not pregnant, I'm taking it up the ass.

I am so ever grateful to you ladies who've donated  meds to me. Without your donations this would not be possible for us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Re: :::dead:::

  • Wow! Why the huge increase?? That's such BS, like they aren't already charging enough.

  • I really don't think that is that bad.  It is less than $200 a cycle.  In the grand scheme of IF treatment and the per cycle cost it isn't worth getting worked up about.
  • I'm so sorry :(

  • It's crazy. My RE office actually decreased their prices a tiny bit but the price of meds has gone up a bit. IF is expensive!

    Meh. I think it all depends on how much money you make. To us, this is a lot of money. Not worked up about it, just surprised that it went up so much.

  • It'll be ok! Like Lindsey said, it is only around $200...while it sucks that it went up, it could be worse..don't freak out!

  • I think that's expensive and a pretty crappy price hike. Being OOP sucks. I was just getting used to actually saving and spending money on things we need want and not IUIs and u/s. I am sure we all feel the same way.

    I think in the grand scheme of IF treatment that that is a lot. She is already out of pocket and has done multiple cycles.  Especially when you are planning for a cycle, knowing it is one cost, and finding out that it's another price and more expensive to boot.

    I like this!! We need a like button on here! Yes Or some sort of discount if you're OOP.

  • I'm sorry.  That really sucks.  The heartless money-grab of the IF industry makes me so upset.  I think that is a huge increase for something they're making a huge profit on anyway.  Anything more than 5% a year is pretty douchey.  :P

    I hope the lube for the butt-job is free! And I hope you don't need more than 1 more! :)

    I know this was meant in jest, but .. seriously... my RE gives a discount for subsequent cycles.

    Sorry you had a price hike - but at least you were smart enough to ask for the new prices... a lot of girls i know would just have been surprised when they were writing the check.

    Hell, isn't that the truth! If I can get a punch card at the coffee cart for all the money I spend I should be able to get one at the RE's office too! Maybe I'll suggest this!

    I understand the pains of being OOP and trying to plan for it.  We are 100% OOP.  I just don't see the big deal in a 10% increase in price (and less that $200 - that shouldn't be a problem for anyone to come up with in a a few months time).  As much as it sucks, REs are in the business to make babies AND money so, like any business, they will most likely increase prices every year.
