NWR: at home hair-dye?

My hair is very very blah.  I just don't have time to maintain color at a salon (one of the 6 million ironies of being a working mom: I have the $$$, just no time- but that's another story).  Does anyone dye their hair at home?  I've never done it.  Is there a brand that's better than others ?  I am clueless and my hair is looking pretty lame at this point!

    I dye my hair at home with Clairol Nice & Easy.  I have natural highlights so the dye just covers up my gray and leaves depth because my natural highlights come through.

    Go to a beauty supply store. They'll give you tips and help you pick out a color.

    i don't have the time or the $$$ so i use the box dye as well.  not sure what it's called but i know it is NON PERMANENT- says it at the bottom of the box and would recommend those b/c they don't do much damage to hair and naturally wash out.....maybe natural instincts.....

    TIP:wear an old t-shirt when you do this and be careful, that stuff will stain everything!!!
