When should I expect...

internal exams to start? I've already had a few and I have to say the last one especially was the most uncomfortable by far. When do they usually start in 3rd tri?

It depends on the Dr. Most of them start them at 36 wks. My Dr. is starting them at 32 wks for me because I had problems with pre-term labor with DD. It all depends.

Mine are supposed to start at 37. I asked the doc yesterday if he was going to do one at my next appt, at 37 weeks, and he said "yeahhhh probably not, we don't like to mess with anything if everythings fine"

My doc started at 36 weeks, and has done one at every appointment since then.

I had one at 36 weeks, but just because they were already down there swabbing for my GBS test. My doc doesn't do them every single week, I just went today and he said we'd skip the internal this week and check next week.

My doc said around 36 wks unless there's a good reason to have them earlier. He told me today to plan on them in another month.

The ones I have had were needed and the last one was so uncomfortable to me. I'm going to guess as you do get much further along the whole comfort factor goes out the window?
