nbr: stupid taxes give me a headache

So this year when I file my taxes I was told it was a self employed new business thing for child care being that i baby sat for a friend and made over $3,500 for the year and so I can claim LO.

I called H&R block and they said it would cost me like $300 to do it there or to pay and do it online on like taxact.com or some other website. 

This is the first time I am doing something like this and its giving me a headache and I dont think I am going to continue because I do not know any of these forms and I dont want to do something wrong and be screwed.

WWYD? I really cant afford to spend $300+ for H&R block neither now, or after taxes are done.. Ugh I just need help. =( i hate this time of year.

    My husband bought turbo tax, but we are going to sell it (hope to find a buyer soon, interested? lol :) because our accountant is going to do them for us again.  We have lots of itemizations, etc. so it is easier to pay for it.  I would get a program if you don't want to have them done, it is a little cheaper and will help guide you through what to do so there is less likelyhood of messing up.  Good luck!

    Can you find another tax place that is less expensive?  I used a non HR block place that a bunch of co-workers recommended, and I think I paid $150.  I like turbotax.com.  I've use tax act as well, but I think turbo tax is easier, and it's really cheap!
