NIFR: Recommend your face wash!

After 10 years proactiv is failing me miserably. Recommend your face wash, especially if you have problem skin

Re: NIFR: Recommend your face wash!

  • I don't usually have problem skin but for the times that I do I always have Clinique 3-step Acne Solutions on hand....a few other ladies here have recommended it too!

  • I like Aveda gel cleanser and exfoliant.  They are a bit on the expensive side but I've had a bottle of each since late July, I use them at least once and usually twice a day and I still have over 1/2 a bottle left.

  • It is written all over my face when I am O'ing and going to start AF.  I use the green tea skin line from the body shop.  I like it so far, but things usually start to fail me after a couple of months!
TTC since 6/08 SA and HSG normal Lap 1/10-Diagnosed with Stage 4 Endo Lupron Depot for 3 months Acupuncture and Chinese herbs since 1/10 IUI #1- C/P IUI #2- BFN Lap/Hysteroscopy 4/11-Stage 3 endo and polyp removed IVF scheduled for July 2011
  • I have PCOS and have been on acutane 3 times!

The very best product LINE I have found is Murad.

They have several mix and match products depending on your skin issues.

I love the Murad acne cleanser (but FYI it has salicylic acid in it)

In addition the toner is vital.  The toner can be used during preg or not.

Lotions, creams, serums, etc--al fantastic and not at all drying.

  • Another vote for Cetaphil.

For the rest of skincare, I use the Aveda All-Sens line.  I use the toner, serum, morning and night cream.  It's good stuff and I definitely notice when I run out.

I thought I was the only Acutane FAIL out there!  I found that using a bar of Dove soap is just as effective (or should I say ineffective) as any of the expensive face washes out there.

  • I use Cetaphil and then I've also found that Olay's Beta Hydroxy Scrub is helpful for my acne.

  • Origins Checks and Balances!  It's the best ever and worth every penny (~$18).  You only need a tiny bit (it foams up like mad) so a tube lasts forever.

  • I like Nutrogena's benzoyl peroxide face wash/mask.

If you have concerns about avoiding certain ingredients while pregnant, there is also a wash by Belli.

The pp suggestions are tempting me to try out something new!

  • I am very sensitive, problem skin.  I found Neutrogena Redness Soothing Oil Free Acne Wash to work best for me without drying out my skin.  I alternate with Aveeno Clear complexion Daily cleansing wipes.  both run about 6-8 bucks.
