ME! I love, love, love my MIL. FIL lives in another state and we don't see him more than 2x a year so I don't really have an opinion on him. My MIL is the sweetest woman ever. She will jump to help anyone and is not intrusive at all. She's the best!
I love my IL's! They are very nice, crazy about our kids, give us our space, yet always ready to see us when we feel like going. THey live about 1.5 hours from us.
MIL sucks, but FIL does not. (They're divorced.) FIL has...a lot of personality, and can be a lot to take sometimes, but he does mean well and he's CRAZY about DD. With him, the good outweighs the more challenging aspects.
Mine don't suck but they are boring and super religious, which means they are at church 3 days a week and would chose the church over DH any day of the week. It makes me sad for DH. DH and I do not go to church nor have we ever.
my mother in law nannys for us at our home and she goes all out on cleaning and laundry and cooking, I cant complain she has been a life save, but she nags A LOT! And she rearanges our furniture, hangs pictures and decorates our house (not always tastefully).I guess you gotta take the good with the bad.
My MIL is amazing. She drives an hour up to watch DS every day and makes us dinner before she leaves. I feel like a 1950s housewife--dinner is on the table when I get home from work. She will do whatever I want with DS and even said spontaneously "your baby, your way." Although I trust her completely and encourage her to do whatever makes her comfortable. She's the best!
My IL's are awesome! FIL watches DS during weekdays - 100% free of charge. MIL is great - she loves to cook and shares all her great recipes with me. I actually work with my MIL - like, sit right next to her (I'm her assistant). HA!
How many people can say they work with their MIL and like it!? I'm very blessed.
I love my in-laws! It took me awhile to get used to/comfortable with their raunchy humor (borderline inappropriate at times) but I adore them. They will bend over backwards for us and adore G.
My ILs are awesome. My MIL watches DD once a week for free. She cleans the house, does laundry, and puts dishes in the dishwasher while she's there. I beg her not to, but she does anyway and I secretly love it!
They are Italian, so they are always feeding us.
They paid for half of our wedding (my parents paid the other half). That was no small amount either (in our defense, our parents all wanted us to have a big wedding. If they didn't help us out, we were going to the JOP).
They fully admit to loving DD more than their own kids (jokingly). We don't care and we love that they can't get enough of her.

Aside from being crazy, MIL is pretty cool. She's just an emotional train-wreck a lot of the time. However, she likes me and loves DS, so that's what matters. She actually watched him last minute yesterday when DH called her because he had *just* remembered it was our anniversary and wanted us to go to dinner.
FIL and SMIL are fine, but their beliefs are vastly different from ours so we have to act pretty differently around them than we do around MIL or my family (no sex jokes, no cursing, no religious/political discussions, etc.)
Contemplating the snow.

my ILs just took us to the store last weekend to get DD's convertible car seat (too tall for her infant seat) and they bought us two of the one we picked out "just bc they were sad they didn't get to get our infant seat before it was gone from the registry". love them.

I have a pretty decent set of IL's, especially compared to IL's we read about.
However, I will say that their sense of humor is way off and FIL is an *** sometimes.
this. i love them for their craziness. and they mean well.

Mine are absolutey awesome, on par with my parents - though no one could beat my parents!

They let us move in with them for a week and FIL took it as vacation to help with the boys.
Plus they take the monitor from us everytime we stay overnight.
