Cleaning the floors under the high chair

I feel that this is all I do some days, besides dishes...

That being said, I want to be able to clean my wood floors after each of DS's meals without having to wet a paper towel and bend down and spot clean. My friend was mentioning something about a Shark broom type thing...I think it's the steam cleaner at Costco for like $60 that will even pick up wet oatmeal. Before I buy I wanted to know what you all use or recommend.

Here are things that I already have that aren't working too well for me, the swiffer with replaceable pads (this thing really only picks up dust and cat hair) and a Black and Decker dust buster which is good for dry things only.

I want something that WORKS. Honestly I'll continue with the paper towel thing if that's my best option. Thanks in advance!

I put an old beach towel under his high chair when we fed him it would make clean up so much easier. I'd just shake it out outside then throw it in the wash. I rotate 2 or 3 of them.
