whose baby cries with other people

My DD has started crying (no screaming) when she's with someone other than me or DH. Last night, my sister-in-law came over and was here for 2 hours and DD cried off and on the entire time. I even left to the store for 15 minutes. We are going out of town for a work function this weekend and she's coming with us to babysit so we are trying to "practice". I don't know what to do. She's been doing this for a couple of weeks now off and on. She screams so loud, does have tears in her eyes, and stops now and then. But she will go on and off until me or DH hold her. Has this happened to anyone? I don't know what to do, it breaks my heart but I have no choice as I'll need childcare this weekend. (I work from home and am with her all day.) Please let me know if anyone experienced this, what you did, and how long it took to stop!

    O cries with everyone except me and sometimes dh.  For some reason, when he starts talking to her, she cries.  It's weird.  I feel bad for him because it discourages him from wanting to hold her.  When I go run an errand, she melts down.  She really needs to get over that because I'm going back to work next month and she will be with my mom and MIL during the day.
