So I am pregnant with our first child and beginning to think about childcare for when I go back to work in November.
1) Aside from the state licensure website, are there other websites that I can find lists of providers in my area?
2) We live near Northlake mall. Does anyone have a suggestion for providers in that area? I work in Midtown and my husband in Norcross so we are trying to find options along that I-85 corridor (Shallowford, Clairmont, N. Druid Hills).
3) We have talked about a nanny instead of daycare. Any agencies that people have used and liked? What is an average nanny price? We both work 9-6ish although we can adjust our hours some after the baby.
Thanks.
Re: Childcare Recs. (NE ITP, Briarcliff, Northlake) and questions
Congrats! You live right around the corner from me. I live in Northlake too.
I haven't used the daycare but have some friends who use the Oak Grove Daycare and LOVE it.
Ditto this...anyone I know who uses Oak Grove loves it. However, it is really tough to get a spot in there, so start trying now!
I used kindercare at dresden and north shallowford. They were great!
They had later hours - 6am to 7pm I believe and they had a great mgt staff.
Thanks ladies.
DH seems to think that we are starting way too early on this. I disagree. Oak Grove has closed their waiting list for the fall classes. I am not sure if this includes the infant room, so I am probably going to email them anyway and verify.
