Has your LO hit their head...hard?

Like...HARD. I was at the pedi today and was letting her crawl around while we were waiting. Her newest thing is to get up and kneel and sort of bounce up and down. Anyway, I was sitting on the floor next to her and was thinking...this floor is kind of hard. Literally 30 seconds later she falls back and hits her head. It was pretty hard, I almost cried but DH reassured me she was fine. She was her normal self the rest of the day but I mean, how do they not get seriously hurt by hitting their heads sometimes?!

  • DD fell while she was sitting up today, we had a blanket down, but it was hard enough to hear her THUNK her head. She cried, then she got over it...so I wasn't too worried. I've heard if they hit their head HARD and don't cry, that's when you worry. I would have worried if she didn't stop crying when I picked her up too....
  • Yes once at the park she threw her head back and hit the grass real hard. I forgot to put something behind her Sad
  • This happened to DD and the doctor said they don't worry too much as long as they aren't vomitting or their eyes aren't dialating properly. Linoleum, carpet, and wood floors usually aren't too bad, but they recommend bringing children in who hit their head on tile.
