Toyota Venza or Nissan Murano anyone ??

Does anyone have either of these or know someone that has one ?

If so, what do you like or not like about them ?

My volvo suv and infiniti suv dream isn't going to happen. So these are the two vehicles I am currently looking at.  I have a friend who just bought a Murano and loves it !

TIA Smile

  • My dad has the Murano and loves it; I've driven his car a bunch of times and we test drove a new model last spring as well. We liked the car, but ultimately decided on something different.

  • I had a Murano as a rental, and while it was comfortable, the trunk space was tiny.  Our single travel system stroller took up the entire trunk, so if you are going to get a double stroller, I am not sure it is going to fit.
  • Amber (Jack's mom) has a Murano and she loves it!  It's cute!

  • I haven't driven either but I LOVE the way the Toyota Venza looks.  And you can't really go wrong with a Toyota.
  • My vote is always for a Toyota product!  They are just really awesome cars.  I haven't driven either of the ones you are asking about.  If you are going to buy through a Dealer Big G might be able to get you a hook up.  Let me know if you want me to ask him.
  • I haven't seen a Venza but the Murano was on the top of my list for quite some time.    Yay for looking at a new car!  (BTW - if you are thinking about a used volvo, my neighbor is getting rid of hers - it was a lease and the lease is up this month.  Very well taken care of  and it's that dark gray color).

  • I've driven the Murano and I'm not a fan.  I feel like there's just not enough room around your head (I felt like I was up in the windshield) and there wasn't as much cargo room as I would like in a crossover.

I'd say Toyota or Honda anyday.  I haven't driven or been in the Venza though.  I PPH love my pilot, there's sooo much room!  We did the consumer report what car should I buy app, you select your price range, the importance of reliability, safety, yada yada and pilot was the big winner in safety and reliability with the amount of room I wanted.  Food for thought :)

  • I have a friend with a Murano and she loves it.  I've ridden in it and it's really nice.  A coworker has a Venza, and I'm assuming she likes it but we haven't actually talked about it.  I know Toyotas have great reliability.  I'd check Consumer Reports or something similar to see their reviews.

  • Hey Mel! We own a Nissan Altima. We have had some issues with it. After some research, it seems that those issues can be common with Nissans in general. I would definitely look at Consumer Report.

We have become Honda people, but we also looked closely at Toyota when we were shopping last Spring.

     Have fun!
