hair question- for late 2nd and 3rd triers

so right about the time of my bfp i stopped having to clean any of my long head hair out of the shower drain.  i think i read that that is normal, because of hormones correct? well the past few days i seem to have started shedding again! i've had to clean out the drain every day.  is this because hormones change again in 3rd tri? for some reason it's making me nervous, but i don't want to sound like a crazy lady and ask the doctor about it because it seems kinda silly.  anyone else start shedding again in 3rd tri?

    This is sooo CRAZY that you are posting this! Within the last week or so I have definetely noticed that I am losing a lot of hair as well... Wonder what it means???

    I read in the New Mom's Survival Guide that toward the end of pregnancy and right after birth, your hair starts to fall out, but not to worry because it's basically just getting rid of the extra hair you grew during the first part of pregnancy.  It will even itself out and you won't have any bald spots!

    That's interesting... my hair was shedding/falling out like crazy late 1st and about half way into 2nd tri.  Since then, no more shedding.  I used to have to scoop the hair out of the bathroom sink and off the floor everytime I washed/combed it.  I noticed around 24 weeks that it stopped.

    eek!  I shred hair normally and barely have some left.  I hope I don't go bald now!  (I know.... Not like I seen any ladies go bald during pregnancy)  Thanks for the warnings.

    Totally normal. In fact, it gets worse after you deliver... At least for me it did! If you're nervous, though, ask your doc. But my experience is that it is completely normal.
