Babies: 0 - 3 Months

6 days PP and still NO urge pee.

I still have to remind myself to go pee whenever I feed LO.  Sometimes the pee starts gushing out as I start sitting on the toilet.  No accidents yet, but I am worried that I will not regain the feeling that I need to go.

How long did it take you?

P.S. i was religious with my kegals too!!

  • How did you deliver? I had a c-section and have the same issue - but just remind myself to go. I usually can tell because my incision starts hurting so I remember that my bladder is probably putting pressure on it.

  • I think it took me a couple weeks.  :(

And embarrassing side note:  I STILL leak!!   I never had any problems with it while I was pregnant, so I figured I was good to go (and skipped the kegels).  Big mistake, that catheter really messed with my stuff!

  • Wow ladies, I never had this problem with either of my c-sections.  I would have problems HOLDING my pee if I had to go really bad, but never a lack of sensation.  D@mn...feel bad for you ladies!
  • I had a c-section and it took me a couple weeks.  Don't worry, you will get that sensation back.

  • Not sure if this is the same thing, but since delivering LO (vaginally), I rarely have to pee... even less than before being pregnant.

I am EBF and suspect that most of my fluids are going straight to the breastmilk, or at least that's my uneducated theory :) And I should be drinking more water, I try, but it's hard.

Are you EBF or pumping? Could be same thing...

  • Same here.  I had a vaginal delivery and noticed that I have virtually no urge to pee anymore (and when I sat down, I just started peeing without feeling myself relax the muscles).  I had to remind myself to go in the morning, before bed, and a couple of times during the day.  I've just recently started to regain some of the urge in the last few days.  But it's still not quite "normal."
