I'm kind of an organized freak and have lists for pretty much everything. LOL So, I need help with my "matched" list. I'm basically making a list of the things we will need to do as soon as we get "the call" such as washing baby clothes, getting the car seat inspected by the fire dept., etc. Does anyone have a similar list or just ideas of what I shall put on my list? Thank you!

Re: Check list when matched
I think someone on here has a good list, but I'll tell you what I did. Our match was quick..got the call...at the hospital the next day to pick up Ben. We didn't have anything either and had to stay in Texas for 10 days. We picked up essentials before leaving town...
onesies, socks, wipes, bottle warmer, wash cloths, baby wash, pacis, changing pads, diaper cream, blankets, bassinet, car seat, stroller, baby laundry detergent, alcohol, baby lotion, baby powder,
The hospital gave us enough formula and diapers for a few days so we went to the store and got some more while we were out there. Babies don't need too much stuff in the beginning.
When we got back we made sure to call our insurance company and get Ben on my insurance right away and I called the pediatrician I wanted to use and we made an appt. for a weight check for the next week. I filled out a ATIN for a temporary # to use as a SS card until finalization. It took months to get one so I would suggest doing this right away if you don't think you'll be finalized before the next tax season.
I know this is not nearly as much as you'd like but it's just a few things that I remember.
