I think I might have a guess, but I wanted to see how much DFW nesties paid/are paying for 5-days/week childcare at a daycare center/school for an infant. We're talking TTC at our house and DH wants a cost breakdown.
PS. If you know how much your monthly cost goes down after your child reaches a certain age, that would be great to know as well. Thank you!

Re: quick daycare cost poll - infants
As of now, one vote for each price range! I'm surprised it varies so much, I thought most votes would be closer to the $1k range.
Yeah, I figured. We'd be looking in the Las Colinas, Valley Ranch, Flower Mound, and NW Lewisville areas.

I voted for the cost of the Montessori she's currently at. Before we moved her, she was at a traditional daycare that was $240/week.
I'm in McKinney, but work in Dallas. I looked at some places that were $200-$250 a week and some that were much more than that.
If you are doing a budget to include daycare, I would budget $250/week, just to be on the safe side. That figure will help cover enrollment fees and yearly supply fees.
The cost of ours goes down at 12 months and then again at 18 months when she will move to the toddler room. I know the price continues to go down as she gets older and moves rooms.
Thanks, sweetpea, that's really helpful. I didn't even think about enrollment and supply fees.
Having a nanny is definitely out of our price range so I'm thinking that for budgeting purposes, planning for a future LO to go to a center/school would be the safest. I'll definitely be looking into in-home daycare situations as well though... $500/month sounds so much better than $1000/month...

I'm in Arlington and ours is $790 per month. It's a small daycare that's out of a local church.
Prices definetly vary from place to place, I live on the far west side of Fort Worth (Aledo/Willow Park) and I pay 140 a week for the infant room. I count myself very lucky now, I need to tell my husband.
$500/week for in-home? Geez!
Oh wow, I read that wrong. I guess I hoped it was a mistype. I was thinking she was paying $500/MONTH not per week. Ouch!
