diaper? What am I doing wrong

I have a 2 week old and just this weekend has started peeing through his diapers.  It's all up his back and everything.  Is there something I am doing wrong?  I keep thinking the diaper is on pretty tight (but not too tight) but I have to change his outfit at least 2 times a day.

    Go up to the next size and see if that helps.

    I'm using different kinds of diapers.  I haven't had to buy any myself just yet.  But I'm pretty sure it's happening with both kinds of diapers that I'm having.  I'm almost out of NB size and at his last appointment last Wednesday he was 7.13 so I thought going to size 1 would not be a problem.  Should I go out and buy more NB size?

    Are you pointing his penis down?  Also make sure the elastic around his legs is "out" and not tucked in (does that make sense?).  My LO has leaked through for both of these reasons!

    My first suggestion would be to try size 1 b/c we hit a point when LO what peeing to much for NB and had to move just for absorbency.   Also, for us Huggies leaked. We couldn't seem to get them to fit right so we went back to Pampers Swaddlers.

    Definitele point him downward.  My LO always peed out the top when DH changed him until I realized he didn't know to do it.  His back would always be soaked!

    Peeing out of the diaper is usually the first indication that it's time to go up a size.

    I had that problem with huggies newborn diapers. I went to pampers swaddlers and was fine after that.
