So I went off the pill right after I got married in October. I luckily started getting my period on my own. ( I have had issues with that before) Well we waited 3 months before seriously TTC ( like the doctor told me) So this month I bought the Answer ovulation kit. I didn't get a positive read. So I am wondering if , even though I am getting a period, if I'm not ovulating. Any one else have this problem? If so, what did the doctor do for you? TIA
Re: Ovulation question
To find out if you are ovulating I would start charting your BBT. You might want to read, Taking Charge of Your Fertility. You can find it on amazon. Fertility Friend is also a good website to find information.
OPK's can be confusing if you haven't charted, you probably just missed your surge. Good luck!
You might want to post on Trying to Get Pregnant or BOTB, this is an inferility board where many of us are past opks and charting.
To answer your question, have you tried charting to see if you are ovulating or not.

It's possible but that you are not ovulating but also possible that you're just missing your surge. You should look into charting your BBT if you want to be sure you're ovulating.
Since you don't have any diagnosed IF issues, this may not be the best board for your questions. You may want to spend some time on the Trying to Get Pregnant board. You will get a lot of useful information over there.
Depends what kind of test you have . . .
The test I take asks me to POAS each day starting around day 6. It tests my LH levels (and reads "LOW" or nothin') until they reach a 'peak' which would be an LH surge (ovulation).
If I do not have any change in the hormones that month, it continues to ask me to test because it assume I am ovulating late. But obviously if I get my period and no surge= no ovulation that month.
Many, MANY women have a regular visit from AF and no ovulation. Other women ovulate every time. MY RE has said that just about everyone misses ovulation a few times over their lifetime. SO don't panic until you've tested a few cycles.
FYI: I use the Clear blue easy fertility monitor. Expensive-but worth it. I know exactly when to make the moves on my man.
