What do you think of the name Lorelai?

I thought of it on my way to work this morning & have no idea what S/O will think of it. He liked Laura & Lauren so I think there's a chance he'll like it.

I do think of 'Gilmore Girls' but do you think people will really make that connection?

Love it! I don't watchthat show but it reminds me of this beautiful little girl that was my lil brothers gf in like 1st grade and she was the prettiest red head I have ever met:)

I love the name...however I do think of the GIlmore Girls because thats the only time Ive heard it!! Still love it though and most people wont know!

I work at a dyacare and one of my kids little sisters who was born at the end of October is named Lorelai. My automatic reaction when I heard it: Gilmore Girls. It's definately cute though

I have no clue about the Gilmore Girls, so no association for me there. I think of the Lorelei as in the mythical siren and the rock named after her...I think it's a pretty name.

I love it. It's actually our number one choice if we have a girl. I AM a Gilmore fanatic though, so we're not telling people so that folks won't think we chose it just for that reason.(we chose it because it's the only girl's name we can agree on!!) I think people will make the connection, but honestly, who cares? And in 10 years, no one will know that show any more anyways.

That is middle name but with a different spelling (Laura-Lie) and my mom got that name from her fav song at the time...by styx! I do love it though!

I think it's really cute. I have never watched Gilmore Girls so I have no idea about that reference. There was a girl in my sorority with the name though I believe she spelled it differently. I always thought it was such a fun bubbly name.

Don't know who Gilmore girls are, but love the name (I only think of "the song of...) ... had a friend in school by that name (spelled Lorelei) and always loved it. My daughter's name is Fiona and of course there are people who are like, "You mean like from SHREK!!??" well yes duh... if that's where you are at culturally, yes, fine... Fiona, like the green ogress princess in the cartoon.
