Baby Names

Girl names that go with big brother Henry?

DS is Henry, and DC2 is a DD.  Girl names are impossible for us, but we're plugging away.  We have a few top contenders (Annika [ah-nika not anne-ika], Devon [yes this is infact a unisex name not just a boy name], Sage), but neither of us are sold on any of them at all.

I guess we're looking for more suggestions for names that aren't overly "prissy" or too common.  If they don't happen to "go" with Henry, that's fine too.  I just threw that out there for inspiration.

Re: Girl names that go with big brother Henry?

  • My son is Henry. The girl names I like are Elizabeth, Samantha, Hannah, Sarah, Rachel, Victoria, Natalie, Leah, Susanna, Mallory, Claire, Rebecca, Paige, Caroline, Juliet, Melanie, Katherine, Noelle, Savannah, Abigail and Megan.

  • Personally I know several guys named Devon and I wouldnt have ever really considered that at unisex name. But I like Annika and a friend of mine just named her baby girl Siah which I thought was kinda neat but different
  • I like Annika.

    Here's some other ideas too:

    Julia, Elizabeth, Anna, Amelia, Lucy

(I was going with kind of a British theme based on Henry)

  • When I saw Henry I thought of Julia.

    I also like:

    Sloane

    Maren

    Maya

    Jane

    Jolie

    Tess

    Dana

    Alice

    Kenley

  • I like Annika best from your list.

Other suggestions: Elise, Vivienne, Gwyneth, Meredith, Jocelyn, Adeline, Keira, Lyra, Eva, Paige, Maia

  • The first name that came to mind is Elizabeth.

  • Sage and Devon are nice enough names, but to me clash with Henry rather than flow or compliment.  Annika is a nice sibling pairing for Henry.

    Other ideas:
    Emily
    Kathryn
    Charlotte
    Jane
    Ellen or Eleanor
    Alice
    Marie

    TTC since 2005. DS via IVF - 02/10 Baby #2 - due 10/16/11
  • Henry is a very traditional name IMO.  So the names the come to mind when I think of what girl names "go" are all traditional...

Elizabeth, Katherine, Amelia, Abigail, Emily, Charlotte, Alison, etc...

Not a fan of Devon or Sage.  Annika is okay.

  • Harper, Audra, Sabrina, Clara, Fiona, Piper, Willa, Rose
    Blank!
  • I know a family where the children are Henry, Maggie (Margaret), and Lucy (Lucille).
