moms of girls.. diapers

Hey ladies, so I am due to have my dd in a little less then 2 months and I want to start to stock up on diapers for her. When ds was born we used the pampers swaddlers and huggies, I never tried the store brands. Now that ds is older I use the target brand diapers.

Are you ladies using name brand or store brand and what do you reccomend?

    I use Swaddlers.  I'm sure you know this, but be careful about buying too many diapers if you don't know LOs birth size yet.   And even then, be careful.  My LO EFW at 39 weeks was 6-1/2 pounds, and she was born at 5lb 10oz ... we had to buy new clothes and new diapers in preemie size before we even left the hospital because the newborn size was too big.  I've also heard stories about babies being born larger than EFW, too.  THe last thing you need is a bunch of diapers that don't fit.

    We use Huggies Little Snugglers and they work great for us. The only time we have leaks is when DD has a blowout and she would have leaked regardless of what brand of diaper it was.

    I use Swaddlers and Huggies Snugglers with my baby girl and both have been great. I love the color stripe that changes color when the diaper is wet. Not sure if other diapers have these.

    I've been going back and forth between Pampers Swaddlers and Huggies Snugglers. I like both of them. My mom bought me Luvs, I don't like them because they feel like paper, but we haven't had any leaks with them.

    I use pampers swaddlers.  I used NB (DD born 8lbs 6oz) for the first month maybe just a bit less and am now using size 1.  I would use name brand while they are this little then if you switch as they get a bit older I see that as being ok but that is just my opinion.

    Thanks ladies. Yes I know not to stock up on too many of one size, I was going to get 1 newborn size and then some size 1, this way even if she is small eventually she will fit into the size 1.

    I am hoping that she isn't bigger then ds, who was 7lbs 12 oz but I guess I won't know until she is born.

    I started out using Huggies and Swaddlers. I've heard terrible things about huggies so when it was time to move to size 1 we got Swaddlers. Then we tried Target brand and I have to say, I like them a bit better than the Pampers!!

    DD was fine in pampers swaddlers for the newborn size but when we moved to size1 we had to do huggies.  I prefer Huggies snug and dry.  They are very absorbant and hold in her b movements.  The pampers size one were a blow out every other time!
