Hello, new here.

I was diagnosed in November with PPD.  My doc said it sounded a lot like post partum stress rather than depression, but that it could quickly spiral into that.  She put me on a different BC pill (she thought it could be my hormones as well) and on Lexapro. Sometimes I think it's working, other times I don't think it is.  I had been on Lexapro for about 3 years when I was 16 to age 19 (I'm now 23) so I know it works for me.  My symptoms are directed at DH, not DD.  I'm angry and resentful toward him a lot, less now that I'm getting some help.   But it's still there.

I'm glad that there is finally a board for help and support with this.  I just wish it wasn't hidden in another board so it was easier to find for us!

    Hi - I was in the same boat as you when ds was first born. I was on Lexapro too - but with any drug/treatment, you'll still have good days and bad days. Hang in there - it will get better!

    Welcome!  It is silly that this board is hidden like it is...because once I found it, I felt so much relief just knowing I wasn't alone!  The feeling of support is wonderful.  I feel that expressing myself here is helping me recover!  Good luck to you.  Hopefully you are on a path towards getting better.  Let us know your progress!  Good luck to you!
