Did you go side-by-side or tandum

for your double stroller? I'm reading reviews and comparisions between strollers and wondering what some of you with real life experience have to say. Which is easier to use on a daily basis?

Re: Did you go side-by-side or tandum

  • For me, tandem. I hate taking up the entire street, aisle, whatever with a side by side. Even the slimlined ones are wide.

If I were a runner though, I'd get a side by side.......

  • I got a tandem sit-and-stand (The Joovy Ergo Caboose). We got this one because DD1 doesn't like sitting in a stroller, so she's only in it when she has to be. Plus I liked that it's a sit-and-stand for later when DD2 is out of the carseat (for now the carseat is in the back and DD1 can sit up front). Plus it's got a ton of basket room, easy access, and is very easy to maneuver around.

This for me as well, but I am a jogger and I do so with my P&T.

  • I'm going with a side-by-side. Originally we wanted a tandem, but the one we picked out fits our needs the best for the price.

  • I have a tandem because I didn't want to get stuck in narrow areas (like store aisles, or paths through the woods, of which there are many near me).
  • Tandem.  I agree with pp who said that even the slimmest SBS are too big for me

  • Tandem. I love my P&T! SBS just would not be practical for us since we wanted one stroller to meet all of our needs. Since Kaylin will be 23 months old when the little guy comes along, I definitely wanted one that could convert back to a single.
  • Right now I'm thinking of getting one of each.  I would like a side by side for walks around the neighborhood and a tandum for shopping.

  • Side by side.  I personally hate all doubles and have just as much trouble manuevering a big long tandem of my sister's through the mall as I do a side by side.  We went with the BJCM!
