Target nursing tank, zip-up maternity hoodie, and maternity sweat pants. Super glamorous. But I figure I really want to be comfortable above all else -- plus, it's really cold here now, so I'll be covering it all up with a coat anyways.

You will want something comfortable, that fit around 6 months pregnant. With ds I wore home yoga pants (non maternity, but bigger size) sweatshirt. It was the dead of winter and a crappy rainy day. I will do something similar this time.

Just a maternity lounge suit. Honestly, I wouldn't buy anything new--you'll just be heading straight home and will want to be comfy. Save your $ for new clothes once your belly goes down a bit.
I was so tired from dd being in the nicu...they released her on the last day I was "allowed" to be there recovering from my c/s thank goodness. I went home in a nursing tank and my pjs. But in my defense, they were really cute 2 piece pjs with monkeys on them. For the next one, I will probably be wearing a nursing tank and a "jogging" type comfy outfit.

I plan on wearing maternity jeans. I wasn't sure they would fit but "Your Pregnancy: Week by Week" said that maternity clothes may be the most comfortable to wear up to 2 weeks post-partum.
Along with that, probably just a tank top and a long-sleeved t-shirt with my Skechers-tennies.

Not criticizing or flaming or anything, but just wanted to bring something up for your consideration -- pretty much every mother I know has warned me against trying to wear jeans after the birth (whether it's vaginal or by c-section). They all say that the denim is way too stiff and uncomfortable against all the sore parts -- and that pretty much everything down there is a sore part for days (if not weeks) after delivery. Just wanted to make sure you'll be nice and comfy when coming home!

I plan on going home naked. hehe j/k! Actually, I think I'm just going to wear a pair of comfy/sweatpants and a t-shirt. We live a minute away from the hospital, so it's not really a big deal and I want to be has comfortable as possible! I will definitely not be wearing jeans though, I'm pretty sure jeans are the last thing I'll want to put on after giving birth.
I have a really comfy maternity grey velour zip up hoodie and pants set that I love. I have packed that- I hated to pack it because I love to wear it on the weekends- so I think it will great for coming home in, with a nursing tank underneath.
my most comfy maternity jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt
I know a lot of people warn against them...but I have washed/wore them a million times...they are super soft...and very comfy...just as comfy as my yoga pants.

I live in nj too and this is probably what i will wear..target nursing tank, old navy maternity velour pants and jacket, old navy coat

When I went into labor I was wearing a maternity slinky dress and flipflops. When I left the hospital I wore the same dress and same flip flops.
Of course it was in the summer, so a dress worked perfectly.
