I'm only a couple of chapters in and I can't believe how many dangerous chemicals our children are exposed to! It's absolutely alarming to me! I don't know if I can keep reading. If I do my children might end up living in a bubble.

I haven't read the book, but I think I'm in the supah-minority (even on this board) when it comes to avoiding chemicals. I can't even walk down the detergent/cleanser aisle in the grocery store because I'm sensitive to chemical smells (things that used to smell "clean" to me!). I've even gone so far as to buy soap and make air fresheners for my staff bathroom at work so people would stop using chemicals in the tiny space we have.
I haven't read that one, but there was a green living book I read, and the title escapes me, but it had a similar effect on me. Freaked me out, but it changed a lot of my habits b/c of the chemicals I was unaware of.
Haven't read that one, but I love The Complete Organic Pregnancy. I read it way before we got pg and started making changes, and still look at it all the time. Scary stuff but good to know, right? Think how many people still have no idea and think we are all crazy for being concerned. It's a shame the info isn't more widely available, but it's getting there.
Re: Anyone read "Smart Mamas Green Guide"?

Hmmm...I'll have to check out that book, though
