Throw out your Tylenol...

I just got home from the pedi. They said to throw out all Tylenol, due to the recall. They also said that its safe to use any off brand of acetaminophen. Just thought I would share!

I know. I never saw anything about infants tylenol. I specifically asked her and she said "All infants and childrens tylenol should be thrown out"

  • I found a list on the Tylenol website and it doesn't list infant tylenol.  You can type in your lot # to see if you should throw yours out.  Here's the link.
  • I think Children's tylenol was on there. I will look and see.

No it's not. Just stated in Sept 09 it was recalled, Infant seems to be in the clear. However sounds like the pedi is preparing "in case of"

  • even though infants tylenol isnt on the list, and since my pedi said to not use tylenol, Im going to stop using the Tylenol brand all together. They are obviously not a trust worthy company. They had recalled infants tylenol in the fall, now this. I dont want to give my LO tylenol and then in 2 weeks them add infants tylenol to the list. its just not worth it.

  • Yikes.  I've been giving DS a little bit of Tylenol for the past couple days for his croup/fever.  Guess I'm done with that!  Luckily, his fever went away today but I hope it doesn't come back.
