Kind of Baby-Related: Space Bags

I need to clean out a closet of a lot of extra blankets, sheets and pillows to make room for baby. I'm thinking about using Space Bags to store them. Does anyone know if they actually work like the commercials say they do?

  • I'm doing the same, but did some research on Space Bags through Amazon and they seem to get mixed reviews.  Most reviews said they work pretty well IF you don't overstuff them.  I have not bought them or used them yet, but plan to...maybe that will be next weekend's project!  I'll let you know then!

  • We used them when we moved to store all of the winter clothes we dont really use.

They really work well for us.  If you do get them, do not over stuff them, as that is when they tear.  HTH!

  • I have a few that I overstuffed and they didnt work as well, but it was still packed away so I didnt redo it. But if they are done right they work really well!

    I recc them.

  • Awesome! I got one for Christmas just to see if i liked it and will be ordering a lot more! Like pp said, just don't overstuff and you will be golden.

I cleared out two large outdoor trash bags that had a queen sized egg crate and mattress pad plus two huge european square pillows into one Jumbo bag.

  • They do work the way they advertise.  We got some but just don't use them.  I got tired of needing to take things out of them, and then having to re-vacuum it when I was done.  I guess if you used them for things you never need then it's fine, but if I never need them then I just get rid of it.  And we don't pack up things like winter clothes, they stay in the closet.  But they work, just not something we personally felt like we needed.

  • Thanks, everyone. I think I will try some and just not overstuff them. Thankfully, this is all stuff that I only use once a year (if that), so I won't need to get to it often. I wish I could just get rid of it altogether, but I hate to get rid of stuff like this when I made need it for visitors in the future.
